Croatia is one of the UK's favourite European getaways: Dubrovnik old town, the islands of Hvar and Brac, and the lakes and forests of Plitvice National Park. Most travellers do not need exotic vaccines, but routine boosters and tick borne encephalitis cover are worth a quick conversation.
Tick borne encephalitis (TBE) is present in the coastal forests and rural inland regions of Croatia, with risk highest from spring through autumn. If you are hiking, camping or spending time in Plitvice or the Krka forests, the TBE vaccine is sensible. Tetanus, diphtheria and polio boosters are recommended if it has been more than 10 years, and Hepatitis A is worth considering for longer rural stays.
Aqua Travel Clinic in West Hampstead is GPhC registered (premises 1123406, operated by Naspram Pharma Limited) under Superintendent Pharmacist Sanjay Mukundkumar Patel (GPhC 2045157). Most Croatia travellers are sorted in a single 15 minute appointment.

Routine tetanus, diphtheria and polio boosters are sensible if overdue, and Hepatitis A is worth considering for longer stays.
Tick borne encephalitis for Croatia
TBE is present in coastal forests and inland rural regions, particularly in the north and along the Dalmatian coast hinterland. Risk is highest from April through October when ticks are active. The vaccine is given as a three dose course, with accelerated schedules available if you are travelling soon. Even one or two doses provide useful short term cover.
