NaTHNaC standard is Hepatitis A and Typhoid for most travellers, with Hepatitis B (or Twinrix combining both) for longer stays or potential medical exposure. Yellow Fever, malaria and meningitis are not relevant for Israel itself.

What is Twinrix and is it worth it?

Twinrix combines Hep A and Hep B into one course. It is convenient if you want both, particularly for family bookings, because you can use one accelerated schedule instead of two separate vaccine programmes.

Is the Dead Sea safe?

Yes, but with sensible precautions. Do not get water in your eyes or mouth, do not bathe if you have cuts or recent shaving, and hydrate aggressively. Heat and dehydration are far more common problems than infection.

What if I am going for a long stay or aliyah?

For long stays we usually recommend the full Hep A + Hep B (Twinrix) course, Typhoid, and the routine UK schedule fully up to date including MMR. We can map this out across your timeline.

How soon before my trip should I come in?

Ideally 4 to 6 weeks. Hep A and Typhoid give meaningful protection within days. Twinrix accelerated schedule works if you are 3 weeks out.
