Qatar is one of the lowest risk destinations on the Arabian Peninsula for vaccine preventable disease, which is why it has become such a popular hub for business travel, stopovers and family visits. Most journeys revolve around Doha, the Corniche, Souq Waqif, the Museum of Islamic Art and the new districts around Lusail.
NaTHNaC recommends Hepatitis A for all travellers and Hepatitis B for longer stays, expat assignments, healthcare contact, and anyone likely to need medical or dental treatment. Typhoid is not routinely recommended for the typical Doha business or leisure trip, although some pharmacists will still offer it for longer stays or rougher itineraries.
There is no malaria risk anywhere in Qatar. Yellow Fever is required only if you are arriving from a Yellow Fever risk country. The biggest real world risks for Doha travellers are heat illness in summer, road traffic injuries and respiratory irritation from dust storms.
Aqua Travel Clinic in West Hampstead is operated by Aqua Pharmacy, a GPhC registered premises (1123406, owned by Naspram Pharma Limited) under Superintendent Pharmacist Sanjay Mukundkumar Patel (GPhC 2045157). We can usually fit you in within the same week and have you in and out in 15 minutes.
