Ukraine includes the historic cities of Kyiv and Lviv, the forested Carpathian foothills and the Black Sea coast. Important: please check current FCDO travel advice before booking any trip to Ukraine, as security guidance changes regularly and parts of the country may be advised against.
For travellers proceeding with permitted travel (such as humanitarian work, journalism or family visits), the key vaccines to discuss are tick borne encephalitis, Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B. TBE is present across central, western and northern Ukraine, with risk highest in forested rural areas during spring and autumn. Hepatitis A is recommended for all travellers due to variable food and water standards. Hepatitis B is sensible given the elevated risk of needing medical care and for longer stays.
Aqua Travel Clinic in West Hampstead is GPhC registered (premises 1123406, Naspram Pharma Limited) under Superintendent Pharmacist Sanjay Mukundkumar Patel (GPhC 2045157). We have advised many travellers from London's large Ukrainian community in Kilburn and West Hampstead.
