Fiji is a classic South Pacific honeymoon, family and stopover destination: resorts on Denarau and the Coral Coast, diving and snorkelling in the Mamanucas and Yasawas, and remote village stays on the outer islands. The vaccine list is shorter than for parts of Southeast Asia, but a couple of important ones do apply.
For most travellers, NaTHNaC recommends Hepatitis A and Typhoid as the core pair, both linked to food and water hygiene which can vary outside resort settings. Hepatitis B is worth considering for longer stays, working trips, or anyone planning tattoos, piercings or close personal contact. Tetanus boosters are also a sensible top up. Yellow Fever is not required unless you are arriving from a Yellow Fever risk country.
Aqua Travel Clinic in West Hampstead is a NaTHNaC aligned, GPhC registered pharmacy. We can review your itinerary, vaccinate, and write a short practical checklist on water, sun and marine safety in one 15 minute appointment. The clinic is operated by Aqua Pharmacy (GPhC premises 1123406, Naspram Pharma Limited) under Superintendent Pharmacist Sanjay Mukundkumar Patel (GPhC 2045157).

Travel vaccines for Fiji, at a glance
Fiji is a moderate risk destination by South Pacific standards. NaTHNaC recommends Hepatitis A and Typhoid for most travellers, with Hepatitis B worth considering for longer stays or higher exposure activities. Yellow Fever is not required from the UK.
Hepatitis A and Typhoid
Both are food and water linked infections that are present in Fiji, particularly outside the main resorts. Hepatitis A vaccine gives around 12 months of cover from a single dose, extending to around 25 years with a booster. Typhoid vaccine gives around 3 years of cover from one injection.
Hepatitis B
Worth considering if you are staying for several weeks, working in healthcare or rescue, or planning tattoos, piercings or other close personal contact. Hepatitis B vaccine is a three dose course, with accelerated schedules available.
Dengue and other risks
Dengue is present in Fiji and can spike during the wet season. There is no routine UK vaccine for it, so bite avoidance (DEET, long sleeves, accommodation with screens or air conditioning) is the key defence. Marine stings, reef cuts and sun exposure are also worth a brief written checklist.
