Haiti is a complex destination: the historic capital Port au Prince, Citadelle Laferriere near Cap Haitien, and Caribbean coastline. It is also a country where cholera is endemic following the 2010 outbreak, and where the security situation can change quickly. The FCDO travel advice for Haiti should be reviewed carefully before booking, as much of the country has been under advise against all travel guidance in recent years.
For those travelling with appropriate clearance (aid workers, journalists, mission travellers, diaspora visiting family), NaTHNaC recommends Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Hepatitis B, Cholera (Dukoral) and Rabies for most itineraries. Malaria is also present in lowland areas year round.
Aqua Travel Clinic in West Hampstead can provide all the above vaccines and a Cholera oral vaccine schedule. The clinic is operated by Aqua Pharmacy (GPhC registered premises 1123406, owned by Naspram Pharma Limited) under Superintendent Pharmacist Sanjay Mukundkumar Patel (GPhC 2045157). Please check current FCDO travel advice before booking.
