NaTHNaC and the UKHSA Green Book recommend TBE for anyone walking, camping or working in forested areas of Switzerland below about 2,000 metres, particularly from spring through autumn. Switzerland is classified as a TBE risk country across most cantons, and routine vaccination is offered to Swiss residents who spend time outdoors.

Tick-borne Encephalitis (TBE)
The TBE vaccine is a two dose pre-travel course, with a third dose to complete protection. Recommended for hikers, climbers, mountain bikers and anyone spending time in Swiss forests from spring through autumn. Most travellers can fit two doses in before departure with one month between doses.
Routine cover
Make sure your Tetanus, Diphtheria and Polio booster is up to date. UK guidance is one booster every 10 years; many Alpine travellers are overdue and we can top this up in the same appointment.
