The Aqua protocol
Every appointment starts with a short pharmacist-led review of your itinerary, medical history and current medication. If the vaccine is right for you we give three doses of Twinrix at 0, 1 and 6 months, with an accelerated 0, 7, 21 days option and a 12-month booster in-clinic, at 59 Mill Lane, one minute from West Hampstead station.
An accelerated 0, 7, 21 day course with a 12-month booster is available when travel is imminent.
Side effects and contraindications
A sore arm and mild fatigue for a day are the usual effects.
Not given to anyone with a confirmed severe allergy to a previous dose. Postpone if you have a fever. Twinrix Paediatric is licensed from 1 year old. We routinely vaccinate children ahead of longer family trips.
