What is the Tick-borne Encephalitis (TBE) vaccine?
The TBE vaccine protects against tick-borne encephalitis, one of the vaccine-preventable illnesses that most affects travellers today.
Aqua's protocol is three doses of TicoVac at 0, 1 to 3 months and 5 to 12 months. Full cover lasts long-term cover after the primary course, with boosters typically every 3 to 5 years for continuing risk.
We usually recommend the TBE vaccine for travellers hiking, camping or working outdoors in central, eastern and northern European forests, and parts of northern Asia, during tick season (roughly April to November). Our pharmacist reviews eligibility before every jab.
