Rabies (where indicated)
Recommended for rural stays, long trips, cyclists, backpackers, children, VFR travel and anyone likely to have close animal contact. Three-dose pre-exposure schedule on days 0, 7 and 21-28 (UK Green Book). Pharmacies cannot administer post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) - if bitten or scratched abroad, wash the wound thoroughly and go straight to A&E, NHS 111 or a local hospital.
Tetanus / Diphtheria / Polio (Td/IPV) booster
A 10-year booster is standard for travel and takes 60 seconds in the same appointment.
Hepatitis B
Three-dose course (0, 1, 6 months); for long stays, medical/dental work, tattoos or new partners abroad.

Rabies

Considered for long-stay work in healthcare, community immersion and family travel with young children in higher-risk regions of Uzbekistan. Reviewed at consultation.
