Zambia is a Yellow Fever risk country, home to Victoria Falls on the Zambezi, the South Luangwa walking safari heartland, the Lower Zambezi canoe corridor and the Kafue plains. UK travellers usually combine Vic Falls with a few nights of walking safari in South Luangwa or canoe safari in Lower Zambezi, often crossing into Zimbabwe, Botswana or Malawi.
NaTHNaC classifies Zambia as a low risk YF country and does not require the vaccine for entry from the UK, but it is recommended for travel outside of urban Lusaka and is required if you are arriving from a YF risk country. Hepatitis A, Typhoid and Rabies are standard recommendations, with Cholera worth considering for budget travel or remote stays. Malaria is year round risk across most of Zambia below 1,200m, including South Luangwa, Lower Zambezi and Livingstone.
Aqua Travel Clinic in West Hampstead is a NaTHNaC designated Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre. The clinic is operated by Aqua Pharmacy (GPhC registered premises 1123406, owned by Naspram Pharma Limited) under Superintendent Pharmacist Sanjay Mukundkumar Patel (GPhC 2045157). Most travellers leave with vaccines, ICVP and malaria prescription in a single 15 minute appointment.
