South Korea is a popular destination from the UK for business in Seoul, K culture trips to Busan and beach holidays on Jeju Island. The country has excellent infrastructure and low overall disease risk, but NaTHNaC still recommends Hepatitis A for most travellers, with Hepatitis B and Japanese Encephalitis for longer stays or rural exposure.
Tetanus, diphtheria and polio boosters should be up to date for any international trip. Japanese Encephalitis transmission in South Korea is mainly May to October in rural rice growing areas.
Aqua Travel Clinic in West Hampstead is a NaTHNaC designated Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre, run by Aqua Pharmacy (GPhC registered premises 1123406, owned by Naspram Pharma Limited) under Superintendent Pharmacist Sanjay Mukundkumar Patel (GPhC 2045157). We can usually fit you in same week, review your itinerary, and complete any South Korea vaccines in a single short appointment.

South Korea is a low risk destination for urban travel in Seoul, Busan and Jeju. NaTHNaC recommends Hepatitis A for most travellers, with Hepatitis B for longer stays and Japanese Encephalitis for rural rice growing area exposure during the May to October season. Tetanus boosters should be up to date for any international trip.
Tetanus, diphtheria and polio
A 10 yearly booster is recommended for any international travel. The Revaxis vaccine covers all three in a single injection, and gives full protection within two weeks.

Hepatitis B
Recommended for stays over a month, healthcare workers, or anyone considering medical or dental procedures abroad. A three dose course (days 0, 7, 21 or 28) gives long term protection.
Japanese Encephalitis, rural travel only
JE is a mosquito borne viral infection found in rural rice farming areas of South Korea during the May to October season.
