Why Brondesbury needs a closer travel-clinic option

Built for Brondesbury's travellers, in NW6.

Brondesbury, spanning NW6 and NW2 either side of Kilburn High Road, has around 15,000 residents in a mix of late-Victorian villas, mansion blocks and post-war flats. The community is mixed and outward-facing: large Pakistani and Bangladeshi households, an established Jewish community around Brondesbury Park and Christchurch Avenue, Irish and Caribbean families, and a growing young-professional cohort spilling out of Queen's Park and Kilburn. The travel-medicine catchment is dominated by Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage and South Asian VFR (visiting friends and relatives) travel, with safari and Europe rounding out the volume.

Aqua Travel Clinic is one Overground stop from Brondesbury or Brondesbury Park station to West Hampstead, about 3 minutes on the train, plus a 1-minute walk. We are an independent pharmacist-led travel clinic at Aqua Pharmacy (GPhC premises 1123406, owned by Naspram Pharma Limited), run by Superintendent Pharmacist Sanjay Mukundkumar Patel (GPhC 2045157), NaTHNaC-designated for Yellow Fever, and equipped to issue same-day MenACWY certificates for Hajj travellers who have left it late.

How it works

How your Brondesbury appointment works

From Brondesbury to a stamped Yellow Fever or Hajj certificate, four short steps.

Step 1

1. Book online

Pick a slot at /booking/. Most Brondesbury travellers are seen within the week.

Step 2

2. Overground, 1 stop

From Brondesbury or Brondesbury Park station, take the Overground (North London Line) one stop to West Hampstead, about 3 minutes. We are a 1-minute walk from the exit.

Step 3

3. 15-minute consultation

Sanjay or a colleague reviews your itinerary, confirms which vaccines you need, and vaccinates you on the spot.

Step 4

4. Certificate + records

Yellow Fever ICVP or MenACWY Hajj certificate signed in-clinic. Digital vaccination record emailed.

Brondesbury's travel patterns

Brondesbury straddles the NW6/NW2 boundary either side of Kilburn High Road, with Brondesbury proper to the east around Brondesbury Park station, and the NW2 portion around Walm Lane and Cricklewood Lane. The catchment is roughly 15,000 residents but punches well above its weight for travel-medicine demand. Three categories dominate at Aqua's Brondesbury appointments.

1. Hajj and Umrah

Saudi Arabia requires Meningitis ACWY for every pilgrim aged 2 years or older. The certificate must be dated between 10 days and 3 years before arrival in Saudi Arabia. Brondesbury and its surrounding NW6/NW2 mosques generate substantial Hajj and Umrah volume each year, and we are set up for it. The MenACWY certificate is signed at the appointment, we add a Polio booster if your point of origin requires one, and we keep emergency slots open for late bookings. A typical Hajj appointment costs less than people expect; see our booking page for current rates.

2. South Asian VFR

VFR travel to Pakistan, Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka is the largest single category by volume. NaTHNaC's standard recommendation is Hep A plus Typhoid plus a Tetanus/Diphtheria/Polio booster, with Rabies pre-exposure for anyone staying outside city centres for more than a few weeks. Hep B is recommended for longer stays or anyone likely to need medical or dental care. Polio booster may be required for re-entry from Pakistan. See our Pakistan and India pages.

3. Holiday, safari and family travel

The remaining bookings cover Europe, Turkey, Egypt, the Caribbean and East African safari. Yellow Fever is needed for Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, and the ICVP is signed in-clinic. Hep A, Typhoid and Rabies are standard add-ons for safari itineraries, along with a malaria prescription dispensed at the appointment.

Why come to Aqua from Brondesbury

Aqua is the closest NaTHNaC-designated Yellow Fever centre. It is one Overground stop from Brondesbury or Brondesbury Park station to West Hampstead, about 3 minutes on the train, or a 10-minute bus down Kilburn High Road on the 31, 32 or 328.

We are independent and priced fairly. Travel consultations are free. You pay for the vaccines actually administered, at rates similar to the big high-street chains and below most specialist private clinics. We do not upsell. If you do not need a vaccine, we will tell you, and the consultation costs you nothing.

Consistency matters. Sanjay is the named Superintendent Pharmacist at every consultation. The advice you got at your last appointment is the advice you will get at your next one. We follow NaTHNaC and UKHSA Green Book guidance to the letter.

By bus: the 31 and 328 run Kilburn High Road and connect to West Hampstead. The C11 runs through the area towards West Hampstead. The 16 and 189 link to Maida Vale and onward.

By car: about 7 minutes via Brondesbury Park and Mill Lane. Free side-road parking moments from the clinic.

Same-week appointments and Brondesbury specifics

For Hajj travellers, book at least 10 days before arrival in Saudi Arabia so the MenACWY certificate is valid on entry. For last-minute Umrah trips or short-notice family travel, call us rather than booking online and we will find a slot.
