Travel vaccines for Hendon families and business travellers
Hendon sits in NW4, a large and diverse residential catchment of around 25,000 people across Hendon Central, West Hendon and the surrounding streets. The area has substantial Indian and Pakistani communities, a long-standing Jewish community, significant Iranian and Persian populations, and a notable Japanese community linked to the Japanese School and surrounding business families. Travel patterns are correspondingly varied: extended VFR trips to India and Pakistan, Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages, Iran family visits, Japan business and family travel, and steady safari, South East Asia and Europe leisure travel.\n\nReaching Aqua Travel Clinic is fast. Thameslink from Hendon station runs one stop direct to West Hampstead in around five minutes, and we are a four minute walk from the station. The 113 bus down the A41 and the 13 along Finchley Road are reliable alternatives. By car the A41 Hendon Way takes 12 to 18 minutes outside peak times, with paid parking on Mill Lane. We hold same-week appointments and weekday evening and Saturday slots so multi-vaccine schedules for India, Pakistan and Hajj travel fit around school, work and family business commitments.

Travel vaccines for Hendon families and business travellers
Hendon sits in NW4 in the London Borough of Barnet, a large residential catchment of roughly 25,000 people across Hendon Central, West Hendon and the surrounding streets. The area is notably diverse: a long-established Indian and Pakistani population, a significant Jewish community linked closely to Golders Green and Edgware, substantial Iranian and Persian families, and a well-known Japanese community connected to the Japanese School of London and surrounding business households. The travel profile from Hendon reflects all of this: extended family trips to India and Pakistan, Hajj and Umrah every year, Iran VFR travel, regular Japan business and family movement, safaris, South East Asia and European travel.
Getting to Aqua Travel Clinic from Hendon is unusually fast. Thameslink trains from Hendon station run one stop direct to West Hampstead in around five minutes, and we are a four minute walk from the station. The 113 down the A41 and the 13 along Finchley Road are easy bus alternatives. By car, the A41 Hendon Way takes 12 to 18 minutes off peak with paid parking on Mill Lane.
India, Pakistan and the wider South Asian community
VFR travel to India and Pakistan is a constant theme in our Hendon appointments, often for three to six weeks combining urban family visits with rural travel. We schedule core vaccines together: hepatitis A, typhoid, tetanus, diphtheria and polio booster if more than ten years old, and selective rabies for longer rural travel or travel with young children. For monsoon season and rural areas we discuss Japanese encephalitis and malaria prevention for relevant regions. Our India and Pakistan destination pages give detailed regional advice.
Hajj, Umrah and Iran travel
We see significant Hajj and Umrah travel from Hendon. Saudi Arabia requires a single dose of MenACWY ACWY-135 vaccine for visa applicants aged two and over, given at least ten days before arrival and within a three year validity. We issue the official certificate the same day. Iran family travel typically involves hepatitis A, typhoid and routine boosters, with hepatitis B for longer stays or medical contact.
Japan and business travel
The Japanese community in Hendon and Acton means we see steady Japan-bound travel, both family relocation and business postings. For short trips routine UK schedules cover most needs. For longer postings or rural and seasonal travel we discuss hepatitis B, Japanese encephalitis and tetanus boosters. Business travellers heading on to South East Asia or India often add hepatitis A and typhoid as part of the same appointment.
Family appointments
We book whole families together so siblings, parents and grandparents are seen in one visit, including multi-generation India and Pakistan trips. Book online and pick a same-week, weekday evening or Saturday slot that fits around school, work and family business.
